Updates:

Working on that Princess dating sim. Gonna try to get it done and released in the next few days, just so I can move on TO NEW THINGS, YAY. A lot of the motivation and inspiration for that one fluttered away, but I hate abandoning things, so IT SHALL BE FINISHED. Though with less development than originally invisioned, whoops... Oh well.

After that's done, a new entry for The Somewhere Series will be in development since quite a few of you are fond of that series. Got some ideas floating around, but not quite sure yet what to do. Maybe I should watch more Monty Python or something.

Question:

Lavender Lilies or Green Apples?

Would you all prefer a remake of the events of The Elevator to The Cafe as a single game or if I just work on new additions to The Somewhere Series?

I'm also wondering if I should remake Colors of a Feather at some point. I did that one in AS2, and it might be interesting to redo it with new art and all with AS3. Or should I just work on finishing that one princess one, lol?

In other news, this is the last week of summer school! I get about two weeks of freedom before regular school starts up again, lol. Trying to get a part-time job soon though, so updates might not be as frequent as some of you would like... But hey, gotta pay the bills and rent. And tuition. Sigh.

Also working on a new series with a 180 degree flip in atmosphere from The Somewhere Series. May end up as a trilogy of games, one of which will be related to that Dopplegangers picture I uploaded a while ago.

So, The Woods (latest addition to The Somewhere Series) is out. There were some minor bugs since I was in a hurry to upload it yesterday, but hopefully they are all resolved now after the changes I made today. <__>

Summer school has roughly 2-3 weeks left (where did all the time go?), so probably won't be any updates (unless it's more adjustments to The Woods) until that's over. Gotta prep for finals, eep.

UH.

General reception for The Woods seems to be: yay, more options and endings, one track music is getting boring, and yay, art is improving, and eww bugs.

Will try to put more music next time (I should go through the audio portal or something, perhaps), and be... better at debugging. Or find beta-testers. OTL

But all in all, people seemed to like it, so yay! Also, YAY THIRD PLACE DAILY! :D

Hi, all!

Geesh, it feels weird that I haven't really been adding new things after that frenzy in May. But gotta focus on my summer class, aha. Gotta soak up all them lessons and whatnot.

So earlier I posted up "Doppelgangers" but the idea for that came randomly when I was supposed to be paying attention in class, lol. It's still in development (trying for a serious/dramatic atmosphere in that one), so it'll be a while before an actual game comes out of that.

I was getting kinda antsy about my inactivity, so I started character designs for yet another game, unrelated to both dating sims and The Somewhere series. But again, that one won't be available for a while, lol. I'm thinking about dabbling in pixel art for that one. But the character designs might be posted up later this month.

Lastly, working on another addition to The Somewhere series. It's kinda funny, they started out as practice, but they're really nice breathers in between development for other longer games, and I'm getting really attached to the characters, haha~ It'll be a sort of sequel to The Garden. Needed the extra layer of silliness after getting back into school-mode, lol.

Summer school starts this Thursday, so activity will probably go way down.

Okay, so... I've actually been working on a second dating sim, but I've just... lost so much interest in it, lol.

The basics are done (most of the art and dialogue), but I just.

GAH.

Made too many characters, so I get kinda overwhelmed with keeping track of everything, which is why I've been making more additions for The Somewhere series to get more practice. But my coding skills still need tons of work, aha...

Might try to slap something together with what's already done, since it'd be a waste to just abandon it completely.
